Equipment used: Pentax Z1-p body and a Pentax SMC-FA 28-80 f/3.5-5.6 lens, with Fujichrome Provia 100F exposed at 1/15 sec. f/16.

Comments: Everything around me was portraying a sense of calm, tranquil serenity. The early morning mist seemed to slow time and suspend all motion. Yet, there was one element of this scene that refused to surrender to the moment- the river. This defiance amidst control seemed so intriguing, that I had to document it at once.
