Comments: I am a 32-year-old soil scientist for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). I obtained my BS and MS degrees in Agronomy at Colorado State University. I am currently a student at the New York Institute of Photography.
Nature photography has long been a passion of mine but it was only about 6 years ago that I started getting serious about it. I have always been in awe of God's world and my background in school and work as a natural scientist has given me even more reason to appreciate the details at all scales in nature. My photography includes various natural subjects and techniques but my focus is developing towards backlighting at small scales and dramatic light situations on the landscape.
