Date taken: September 2004
Location:
Etosha National Park, Namibia
Equipment used:
Minolta 700i with a Sigma 170-500mm 5.6-6.7 lens
Comments:
These two zebra suddenly started fighting when we passed by a large zebra herd in Etosha NP, Namibia. Each of the two animals tried to bite the others leg getting dangerously close to the ground and the clumping hoofs with their heads. The scenery nicely demonstrated the natural battlesome side of these otherwise very peaceful animals.
I am 31 years old and work as a physician in Switzerland. I combine my passion for nature photography with my other passion for travelling. In nature I can really chill out from any daily business stress. So far I traveled the USA, Canada, Iceland, Egypt, Namibia, South Africa, Botswana, Italy, and Switzerland. All these locations offer great opportunities for nature photography.
